“For the past 22 months, my son has been suffering from horrible eczema on his hands. He was complaining that it was hurting and itching, so I scheduled him an appointment with the doctor. She told us it looked like a fungal infection and she prescribed him an anti-fungal cream. It turned out to not be a fungal infection. I asked for a referral to a dermatologist where we experimented with several more creams, including prescription and steroid lotions. Nothing worked, but she gave us a referral to an allergist. The allergist told him to cover his hands with gloves while outside playing, meanwhile, my son’s hands didn’t improve in the least. While I was waiting for another referral, two friends sent me messages telling me about a doctor who they believed could help my son. Dr. Brian concluded that there was some kind of a bacterial infection happening inside his body and his approach was to clear up that infection and focus on strengthening the immune system. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it, because for the first time in nearly 22 months, my son’s hands LOOK NORMAL!!!! We paused to get a good look at them this week and I nearly cried tears of joy. I know that sounds dramatic but this has been such a long and frustrating road that I am overjoyed to have my baby’s hands healed up!”
